Which rate to use
- On invoices and in VAT returns: the ČNB rate valid on the taxable supply date (DUZP). ČNB publishes new rates every working day around 14:30; before that, and on weekends and holidays, the last published rate applies. This calculator does that for you.
- Between two foreign currencies (for example euro to dollar), the calculator goes through the Czech crown, as Czech accounting does.
- In your income tax return, you may instead use the uniform yearly rate (jednotný kurz) for all foreign-currency income of that year. See exchange rates.
